從 Safari RSS 拷貝、貼上

“從 Safari RSS 拷貝、貼上” 有什麼好提的？看下去你就知道這個拷貝/貼上到底是什麼？前幾日剛提過似曾相識的瀏覽器，現在連 Jens Alfke（Safari RSS 團隊的開發人員之一）自己都看不下去了，他一直都在注意 IEBlog（微軟 IE 網誌），對於 IE 7，Jens 甚至寫到微軟對於這個將來的瀏覽器僅是做了一個拷貝→貼上的動作罷了（”MS has just done a copy-and-paste of what we did.”）：

As others have already noted, the in-browser RSS/Atom support Microsoft has announced with great fanfare for the increasingly-vaporous Longhorn is pretty much identical to the Safari RSS (aka Syndication.framework) I work on, which Apple shipped this spring in Mac OS X 10.4 “Tiger”. Same “RSS” button in the address bar, same feeds-as-bookmarks, same cross-app data store.

除了上述引文提到的相似度外，甚至瀏覽器的版面配置也是十分相像，包含左文章右選項的版面、排列選項、搜尋列…不勝枚舉；看看下兩張對照圖：

Jens 說，他認為相似的部份不僅僅是那顆網址列上藍色的 RSS 方鈕，而是瀏覽器的整個使用者介面都十分雷同，他給 MS 死忠者的建議是「買台 Mac，現在就能擁有這些功能，而不是 18+ 個月之後…」。
